Church Annual Meeting 2020

Picture
The Annual Parochial Church Meeting, delayed from our original planned date which was just after lockdown, will take place after the service in church and online or by telephone via Zoom, on Sunday 11th October. We will need to elect five PCC members, Three Deanery Synod members (who also serve on PCC) and two churchwardens. The  Deanery Synod members standing down are Chris Coutts, David Nicholls, Sylvia Scott and Abna Simon. The PCC members standing down are Katie Rogers, Kathryn Chard, Jan Wiszniewski, and Kay Nicholls, and we have a fifth vacancy left by the departure of Dan Robinson.

Strictly the meeting to elect churchwardens is a different meeting, but the two meetings are held together. The formal notices of the meetings are:

Details of how to join the meeting by Zoom are at the bottom of this page.

IMPORTANT

Please prayerfully consider who you would like to see represented on the PCC (Parochial Church Council). Members of the PCC have a legal responsibility as charity trustees for the running of the church. The Deanery Synod members have an additional role in electing representatives to the Diocesan Synod and General Synod.

Nominations should be made on the appropriate form:

PCC Nomination Form
Deanery Synod Nomination Form
Churchwarden Nomination Form

Please print out the form and fill in by hand. Include ALL information (i.e details of the seconder and nominee as well as your details). If you can get physical signatures from the seconder and nominee, please do so, then scan or photograph the form and email it to pccsec@stmildreds.org.uk. Alternatively, you can sign yourself, then scan or photograph and email on to the seconder, who should forward to the nominee, who should forward to pccsec@stmildreds.org.uk. The email forwarding chain will be taken as digital signatures.
