What is Alpha?
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the big questions of life. What is my purpose? What happens when I die? Why is there suffering?
Who’s it for?
Alpha is designed for people with questions. It is a friendly, non-threatening introduction to Christianity for anybody who is curious or unsure. It’s also a really good way of re-capping the basics of the Christian faith for those who are already committed. In short – it’s for everybody! – and it’s also a great way of meeting people and making new friends.

Hear about the experience of people who joined us for Alpha when we ran it online a little while ago:
We plan to start a new course early in 2024. It will probably take place at a home in the parish on Thursday evenings but there may be a possibility of a daytime course if there is sufficient interest. We normally meet around 7pm for a simple meal before watching the video. Discussion follows over coffee and cake, finishing promptly by 9.30pm. Do email [email protected] to let us know if you are interested in joining us, or for more information on our plans for the next course.
We look forward to meeting you at St Mildred’s Alpha.
