A Message from the Church Wardens 30.12.20

Dear All,

After much discussion and prayer we have decided that the church will be closed to the congregation this coming Sunday. This is due to the massive rise in Coronavirus cases in the community at present, as well as the state our local hospitals find themselves in. We feel this is the prudent decision, although we completely understand that this will be disappointing to many of the congregation.

We will, of course, livestream as has become usual, and the PCC will meet early next week to make a decision about the rest of the month. With that in mind, if you would like to share your view prior to our meeting, please let one of the PCC members know. The PCC are elected to represent the congregation and the list can be found on the website - http://www.stmildreds.org.uk/team.html with contact details in the directory.

This is not a decision that we have taken lightly. We hope you will understand that we have to take the safety of our church family, the local community and our local healthcare teams extremely seriously and that until we can have a more in depth discussion about this early next week, this is the correct decision to take for Sunday.

This means only those involved in the service on Sunday will be present in church, and the doors will be locked. You will be able to join via the livestream, as usual.
