Giving and Tithing at St Mildred’s
Christians give as a response to the generosity of God, shown supremely in the gift of his Son, the Lord Jesus, as our Saviour. Recognising that all we have comes from him, we give as an expression of gratitude and trust in his provision.
The General Fund covers the normal running costs of our church, while the Development Fund covers costs related to our new church hall building project. As a church, we tithe the income we receive through gifts, setting aside 10% of gifts received in both General and Development Funds to support various projects and ministries outside St Mildred's. This includes our mission partners and other initiatives that align with our commitment to sharing God’s love beyond our immediate church community. This commitment was stated in our previous giving materials and remains an important part of how we steward these gifts.

We launched Easyfundraising in St Mildreds's five years ago, and it's been generating a steady stream of small payments into the St Mildred's Development Fund ever since. If you've been using it regularly when shopping online - thank you! If not, do please consider signing up by visiting the website.
https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/stmildredschurchlee/ If you install the Easyfundraising assistant in your browser, you'll be reminded whenever you go to a web site which supports Easyfundraising and a small percentage of the cost of your purchase will be donated to St Mildred's at no cost to you. |
