Meet the candidates and ask your questions
We have invited all of the candidates from parties polling >5% in opinion polls prior to the election announcement.
Each candidate will have the chance to give a 5 minute introductory pitch. We'll then move into questions, using a format similar to BBC "Question Time".
Please submit questions IN ADVANCE with your FULL NAME and POSTCODE to:
[email protected]
In order to maintain a positive atmosphere, we have asked the candidates to to avoid direct and explicit criticism of their rivals, their parties or their policies but instead to concentrate on putting forward the positive aspects of their own policies. This echoes advice from the journal of John Wesley who wrote nearly 250 years ago:

This echoes advice from the journal of John Wesley who wrote nearly 250 years ago:
I met those of our society who had votes in the ensuing election, and advised them
1. To vote, without fee or reward, for the person they judged most worthy
2. To speak no evil of the person they voted against, and
3. To take care their spirits were not sharpened against those that voted on the other side.

There were rather fewer voters in 1774, but the advice seems just as good today.
